Sophie Rose

Hi, I’m Sophie, I’m a Integrative Psychotherapist and Level 7 qualified Clinical Supervisor. I moved into private practice 4 years ago and have transitioned to working full time in my own practice as a Clinical Supervisor and Psychotherapist. I specialise in working with children, young people and parents in my face-to-face client work. I am a trauma responsive therapist and my approach incorporates humanistic, psychodynamic, CBT, gestalt, T.A. and creative/art approaches. All of my thinking is underpinned by neuroscience and I am influenced by theorists such as Dan Hughes, Porges, Winnicott and Maté. I have always worked with therapists in supervision from a range of training and levels of qualification. I provide clinical supervision for individuals and in groups; supporting therapists in education, charity and private practice settings. I really enjoy working as a Supervisor, it’s a privilege to be be able to support others in their counselling learning/careers. I’m really passionate about fostering excellence in our profession and believe we can all continuously learn from each other no matter how experienced we are. Similarly to our therapeutic practice, the relationship is at the heart of good quality supervision and so I bring empathy, acceptance and respect to the supervisory relationship, just as I do in my therapeutic work.
