Samuel offers a warm, non-judgemental and grounded space where clients can explore what troubles them in safety and depth. He believes in the human capacity for growth, and that through self-understanding we can become more in line with who we were always meant to be. Samuel is an integrative counsellor in training, tailoring his approach to each individual client while prioritising the therapeutic relationship above all else. He works in a largely non-directive way, offering empathy and unconditional positive regard so that clients can feel truly heard and seen. His style is exploratory and reflective, often using gentle questioning to help bring hidden thoughts into awareness. From this deeper understanding, he believes meaningful change can follow. Drawing from existential ideas, mindfulness, and humanistic principles, Samuel’s approach is informed by his background in psychology and his volunteer work with Samaritans. Before counselling, he studied architecture — a discipline that developed his systems thinking and appreciation for the complexity of people and the ways their inner worlds can work at cross purposes. Samuel is a student member of the BACP and is currently working towards a Level 4 Diploma in Humanistic Integrative Counselling.
