It can be hard to know what you are looking for when choosing a therapist. Beyond the theories and the qualifications, I believe the most important factors are that you feel seen and that you are part of a shared experience.

A session with me will feel like working in partnership with someone, exploring together rather than in isolation. I will pay attention not just to the context of your life but also the emotions that arise in both of us.

My approach is centred on relational psychodynamic. If you are looking to improve your relationship with yourself and with others, to live authentically with due care and respect for the people around you, this may be the right approach for you.

I am part of the LGBTQI+ community. It can be comforting to work with a therapist where you are not required to translate your experiences. I am also neurodivergent and have lived experience of managing the shame and challenges of trying to fit into a neurotypical world.

It is also important for me to consider aspects of my identity that carry privilege. I work with an anti-oppressive approach that considers my gender, race, and other spaces where I hold power and privilege.  I am a member of the BACP and follow their ethical guidelines. I am currently studying an MA in integrative counselling and psychotherapy.
