Hi, I am Radiah, and I am training to be a Psychodynamic Therapist on the DPPClinPrac programme. This approach involves looking at your past experiences, including your childhood, relationships and significant life events, to understand how they may still be shaping your present-day experiences. We would also stay curious about thoughts and feelings that may not be fully conscious, but can still be an influencing factor. In sessions, you are free to talk about whatever comes to mind, even if it feels unimportant or unclear at first. At times, we may also explore dreams, as well as patterns that emerge in your relationships, including within the therapeutic relationship itself, as these can offer further insight. This approach feels different if you are looking for structured guidance or homework, but if you are looking for a non-judgmental, collaborative space to explore yourself more deeply at your own pace, this approach may be a good fit. I hold an MSc in Clinical Psychology and a BSc (Hons) in Psychology. I am a training member of the British Psychoanalytic Association, and I work in line with their ethical guidelines.
