Hello, I’m Michael. Thank you for taking the time to read a little about me.
Life can feel overwhelming at times. For many of us, even everyday tasks can become difficult to manage. Some people know exactly why they’re struggling; for others, the reasons feel unclear or confusing. Whatever has brought you here, it takes real courage to reach out — and real commitment to stay with the process.
As a trainee integrative counsellor registered with the BACP, I offer a space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings safely, without judgement. My approach draws on a range of therapeutic models so that we can work in a way that best suits your individual needs.
In our sessions, you will be heard with empathy, warmth and genuine interest. Together, we will explore what you want from therapy, set goals collaboratively, and regularly review how things are progressing. My role is to be present, compassionate, and alongside you as you navigate whatever you are facing.
Therapy can help you understand and change troubling thoughts, emotions and behaviours. It can also support deeper self‑awareness, personal growth, and a stronger sense of emotional wellbeing. This is your journey, and our work will be led by your needs and at your pace.
Before training as a therapist, I spent over 30 years in the corporate world and many weekends coaching age‑group rugby. These experiences have shaped my belief in the importance of trust, teamwork, and creating environments where people feel supported to grow.
If you choose to work with me, you will find a space that is calm, respectful and grounded — a place where you can bring whatever you need to bring.
I look forward to speaking with you soon.
