I am a Registered Member of the BACP MBACP (working towards accreditation)I qualified as a Counsellor in 2009 and as a Counselling Supervisor in 2015. The modality that I use is Integrative and this includes using a Person-Centred approach, using CBT approaches, as well as Psychodynamic and Solution-Focused approaches with clients. I have experience of facilitating individual and group supervision with qualified counsellors, as well as trainee counsellors. My approach is to provide a supportive, learning environment that encourages supervisees to understand why they work the way they do, as well as providing guidance and education on safeguarding issues, risks, ethical considerations, and anything else that impacts on the counsellor-client therapeutic relationship. I also provide supervisees with information possible resources that could be used with their clients or for their own knowledge including books, YouTube Channels, and worksheets.
