Hi, I’m Laura. I provide a warm and understanding space where clients can feel safe to talk about their thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgement. I understand that reaching out for therapy can feel daunting, and I aim to create an environment where clients feel heard and respected.
Before training as a counsellor, I spent many years working in busy and demanding organisational environments, where I developed a strong understanding of how workplace and life pressures can affect wellbeing. I am also a parent, and my personal experience of family life has given me a deeper appreciation of the realities of balancing responsibilities, relationships, and self-care. These experiences shape the empathy and understanding I bring to my work.
I have also volunteered with Mind, supporting people with their mental health, which has deepened my understanding of the challenges many people face. My approach is integrative, meaning I draw on different ways of working and adapt my approach to meet each person’s individual needs. I am a registered student counsellor working towards a diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. I offer a collaborative and compassionate space where clients can explore their experiences in a way that feels right for them.
