Kelli Gilstrap

Sometimes it can feel difficult to put into words what you are going through, or to feel truly understood by others. I offer a warm, respectful and thoughtful space where you can speak openly and explore whatever feels important to you, at your own pace. I aim to sit alongside you with care and openness, helping you make sense of painful, confusing or overwhelming experiences, without judgement or pressure to be any different than you are.

As an integrative trainee counsellor, I draw on person-centred, CBT and psychotherapeutic approaches. This allows me to work in a way that reflects your individual needs, whether that involves exploring emotions, understanding patterns in thoughts and behaviour, or recognising how past experiences may be affecting you in the present. I believe that feeling heard and understood can create the conditions for greater self-awareness, self-acceptance and meaningful change.

I am currently completing an MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy and am a student member of the BACP. I am committed to working ethically and with sensitivity, and to building a therapeutic relationship where you feel safe enough to explore your difficulties honestly and at your own pace.
