My journey into counselling came after more than 25 years in the professional world, where I worked with senior leaders, business owners and teams navigating complex change, uncertainty and high-pressure environments. Time and again, I found that behind every project, strategy or organisational challenge were people trying to make sense of relationships, pressure and change. That curiosity about people is what ultimately led me into counselling.
As a trainee Integrative Counsellor and BACP student member, I draw on different therapeutic approaches depending on the person sitting opposite me. My approach is calm, collaborative and straightforward. Together, we’ll explore what has brought you to therapy and make sense of the patterns that may be keeping you stuck.
I work with adults from all walks of life, but I naturally connect with people who are used to carrying responsibility, solving problems, looking after others, or believing they should be able to cope on their own. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, relationship difficulties, loss, life transitions, or simply feel that something isn’t quite right, therapy offers the opportunity to better understand yourself and move forward with greater clarity.
Outside of counselling, I’m a father and enjoy endurance sport. Both continually remind me that meaningful progress comes through patience, self-awareness and recognising when it’s time to ask for support.
Whether you’re facing a specific challenge or simply want to understand yourself better, I’d welcome the opportunity to work alongside you.
