Helena Gloeckner

Hello, I’m Helena [she/they]. I am a Humanistic and Integrative therapist in my final year of training, and a student member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I have experience counselling adults and young people who have decided to seek out therapy for a wide variety of reasons. This includes anxiety, depression, grief, self-harm, identity, relationship issues, domestic abuse, addiction, self-esteem and burnout. In addition to this, my particular areas of interest are neurodivergence, disability, and gender and sexual identity. My therapeutic approach is down-to-earth and collaborative. I value each client’s unique experience of the world and believe that therapy works best when we can meet on a genuine, human-to-human level. I see therapy as a space to explore who we are and reflect on how we relate to ourselves and others. My role is to support you on this journey, with curiosity, honesty and compassion. In terms of my theoretical base, I integrate person-centred, gestalt, and existential theories, as well as trauma-informed practice, attachment theory and intersectionality. My approach is LGBTQIA+ affirming. If this resonates with you and aligns with what you’re looking for in a therapist, I’d love to hear from you.
