Helen is an integrative practitioner. She has experience of supporting clients through loss and bereavement, as well as relationship challenges and life transitions. She seeks to create a space of empathy to explore difficult feelings and help clients find peace and empowerment.
She uses a Gestalt therapy focus to help clients become more aware of their thoughts, feelings, and bodily experiences in the present moment. By gently exploring what is happening in the “here and now,” we can begin to understand patterns in your life and relationships, deepen self-awareness and create space for new choices and change. Psychodynamic therapy is also integrated to help clients understand how the past influences their thoughts, feelings, and behaviour in the present.
Helen has a Nursing/Health Visiting background, and has also worked for many years with students with disabilities and in pastoral care at a University. Helen is working towards a Masters degree in Integrative Counselling and is a registered student counsellor with the BACP.
