Hayley McGowan

Hi, I’m Hayley. I understand that taking the step to come to therapy can feel overwhelming. My primary focus is on creating a warm and collaborative relationship, which is client-led, where you feel valued, heard and empowered. Together, we will empathically explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace. Whether you’re facing specific challenges, seeking to deepen your self-understanding or navigating life transitions. Currently, I am in my third year of training in a Diploma/ MSc in Humanistic Psychotherapy, which draws on Person-Centred, Gestalt, and Transactional Analysis approaches, working in a way which suits you. I firmly believe that everyone has an inherent capacity for growth and healing when the right conditions are present. I provide a non-judgemental, confidential space adhering to ethical practices in accordance with UKCP, of which I am a member. My background encompasses teaching and childcare, coupled with several years of experience as a carer. This combination fuels my particular interest in working with carers and individuals who are neurodiverse. I am committed to fostering a therapeutic relationship that empowers you to discover deeper self-awareness, emotional resilience and a greater connection to your authentic self. If you are feeling the time is right to undertake this journry I look forward to meeting you.
