Hannah Robinson

I’m Hannah (she/her), a student member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) in my fifth and final year of studying for a Professional Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling Practice. As an AuDHD, physically disabled and queer therapist, I bring understanding and respect for individual differences through anti oppressive, LGBTQIA+, and neurodivergent affirming practices. Accessibility is important to me, and you are welcome to discuss any reasonable adjustments that might help sessions feel easier or more comfortable.

My core training is based in humanistic and pluralistic approaches, which means I listen closely to what feels most important to you, and we work together to find an approach that feels natural, personal, and genuinely helpful. This collaborative way of working adapts to your needs at each stage, and may include psychodynamic ideas to explore how past experiences shape current patterns, cognitive behavioural tools to help you work with difficult thoughts and feelings, or person‑centred principles to support you in connecting with what feels most true for you. I have also completed additional training in psychosexual and relationship therapy, supporting my work with individuals navigating identity, intimacy, communication, and relationship concerns.

I understand that starting therapy can feel daunting, especially if you’ve spent a long time trying to manage things alone or feeling like others don’t quite ‘get it’. My aim is to offer a calm, accepting space where you feel safe to be yourself and explore what’s on your mind at a pace that feels right for you.
