Hello, I’m Georgia. I work in an integrative way, which means I use different approaches to tailor the work we do together to best support you. My foundation is in a person-centred approach, so I work in a way which is non-directive and client led, allowing you to explore your feelings and experiences in an empathetic and non-judgemental environment. I aim to work collaboratively with you, paying attention to your situation, your social and cultural contexts and your preferences to enable you to work with and through anything you’d like to bring to the space.
I have over 5 years’ experience working in the charity sector on two national helplines and more recently have worked in student support in the Higher Education sector. These experiences have brought me into contact with many people experiencing difficulties in their life, which has led me to train as a counsellor. I am currently in my final year of a PG Dip Counselling & Psychotherapy course. As well as my work at Choose Therapy, I also volunteer at a bereavement counselling service, supporting clients experiencing grief and loss.
