Hi, I’m Emma, a trainee Psychotherapeutic Counsellor currently studying at Level 5.
I offer a warm, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly and feel genuinely heard. I know that reaching out for support can feel difficult, and I aim to make that first step feel as safe and comfortable as possible.
My approach is pluralistic, meaning I draw from Person-Centred, Psychodynamic and CBT therapies. This allows me to tailor our work together to you as an individual, rather than fitting you into a fixed way of working. We can explore what feels most helpful for you, at your pace.
I believe the relationship between client and therapist is central to meaningful change. I will meet you with empathy, respect and acceptance, and support you in making sense of your thoughts, feelings and experiences in a way that feels manageable.
I have a strong commitment to inclusivity and warmly welcome clients from all backgrounds. As part of the LGBTQ+ community, I offer an affirming space where you can feel safe, seen and respected for who you are.
I am currently in training and work under regular clinical supervision to ensure safe, ethical and supportive practice.
If you are looking for a calm, supportive space to explore what’s going on for you, I would be glad to work with you.
