Caro Marlen

Hi, my name is Caro, and I’m really glad you found your way here.

Taking the first step to seek support can feel like a lot; whatever has brought you here, you don’t have to face it alone.

I am a trainee counsellor currently undertaking a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. I offer a warm, calm, and grounded space where you can begin to explore what is going on for you, at a pace that feels manageable. I work with a range of experiences including anxiety, stress, low mood, relationship difficulties, trauma and addiction. Whether you are navigating a specific life event or something more ongoing, we can gently work through it together.

My own experience of therapy is part of what brought me to this side of the counselling room, and it continues to shape the way I sit with others. At the heart of counselling is the therapeutic relationship, built on trust, safety, and being able to speak freely without judgement.

My approach is integrative, rooted in person-centred values and informed by psychodynamic thinking. This means the sessions are led by you, starting with whatever feels most present for you. As our work deepens, we may begin to notice patterns and explore how earlier experiences might be influencing what is happening now.

As a student member of the BACP, I work within their Ethical Framework and attend regular clinical supervision to support safe and reflective practice.

If you feel drawn to connect, you are very welcome to get in touch. I look forward to meeting you.
