Annie Kappler

Hi there, I’m Annie. I aim to provide a warm, supportive and non-judgmental space where we can work together at a pace that feels right for you. I have experience working with clients who are struggling with issues such as anxiety, depression, low mood, intrusive thoughts, trauma, and low self-esteem. My background includes five years’ experience supporting individuals with an acquired brain injury both as a counsellor and as a cognitive rehabilitation therapist. I also have four years’ experience as a care worker, supporting older people in their homes and within the community.

I have an interest in the wellbeing benefits of connecting with nature. I am also interested in working with neurodivergent clients and have experience supporting students and adults who have different processing and learning styles. I am open to incorporating special interests into therapy sessions and have supported clients in using their own creative approachesto explore and make sense of their feelings.

I am a trainee counselling psychologist and a graduate member of the British Psychological Society. I am trained in person centred therapy and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). I believe that a genuine, empathic and accepting approach helps support an individual’s natural tendency towards growth. Please reach out if you think I sound like a good fit for you.
