Hi, I’m Aisling (she/her), a third-year trainee studying for an Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapy, with a foundation in Transactional Analysis (TA).
I offer a calm, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where you can talk about what has brought you to therapy. If things feel overwhelming, confusing, or heavy, therapy can help you to slow things down and begin to make sense of it.
My approach is relational and collaborative. I aim to walk alongside you as you explore your experiences and understand yourself more deeply.
You can show up as you are, without pressure. Together we can gently explore how you relate to yourself and others, your feelings and experiences, and support you in building self-compassion, confidence, and a grounded sense of self.
As an integrative therapist, I draw on different approaches depending on what feels helpful for you. TA helps me understand how early experiences can shape how we relate to ourselves and others. I work in a neuro-affirming, LGBTQIA+ affirming and anti-oppressive way, aiming to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and not judged.
I am a member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), and with within their ethical frameworks.
Before training, I worked in the charity sector and public health, which shamed my belief that good therapy should be accessible to everyone.
I’m particularly interested in self-compassion, identity , relationships, and life transitions.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step. My hope is that you feel supported and not alone with what you bring.
