Emily Macmahon Choose Therapy private online counselling

My names Emily and I am a MSc student training to be a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist. Within Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) I offer a non-judgemental space where we can work collaboratively to focus on managing current issues and negative symptoms. I also have student membership with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapists (BABCP) I aim to work to get my accreditation through completing my course.
Within our sessions I can help with improving negative symptoms of various disorders such as anxiety, depression, eating disorders, Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), social phobias and more. CBT does this by helping to make change by challenging these distressing thoughts, emotions, behaviours and physiological symptoms. We can do this in various ways it depends on you as the client and what fits best within your treatment plan.
I have also had previous work experience in supporting individuals with severe mental health and addiction issues who have suffered domestic abuse which has helped me to gain a true insight into the effects of mental health disorders in day to day life.
