Sometimes life changes in ways we never expected.
Whether you are facing grief, anxiety, depression, the emotional impact of illness, relationship difficulties, stress, burnout or another significant life challenge, therapy can offer an opportunity to make sense of your experiences, better understand yourself, and find a way forward that feels right for you.
I offer a space where you can explore what you are experiencing and what matters most to you. My approach is integrative and informed by existential psychology, recognising that emotional difficulties can affect not only how we feel, but also our identity, relationships, choices and sense of direction. Together, we can strengthen resilience, deepen self-understanding, and find a way forward that feels right for you.
I have a particular interest in supporting people through significant life changes and unexpected challenges, helping them strengthen resilience, make sense of difficult experiences and move forward with hope. My clinical experience includes working with Cruse Bereavement Support, Rethink Mental Illness, and the Stroke Association, where I supported stroke survivors and their families.
I am a Doctoral Trainee in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy (DCPsych), a UKCP Student Member, a BACP Student Member, and a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society (BPS).
Sessions are available in English and Russian.

Maria Malafeeva

Hello, I’m Maria. I am a trainee counsellor and a registered member of the BACP, currently completing an advanced BACP-accredited diploma in Integrative Counselling.
I offer a warm, confidential space where you can talk openly, feel heard and emotionally safe. My role is to listen carefully and support you in exploring your thoughts, feelings and experiences at a pace that feels safe for you.
I work with people experiencing anxiety, emotional overwhelm, low self-worth, relationship difficulties, isolation, loss and life transitions. Sometimes these struggles are connected to earlier experiences or patterns that repeat in relationships. Together we can gently explore what may be happening for you and what might help you feel more grounded and understood.
My approach is integrative and relational. I integrate person-centred therapy with somatic awareness and psychodynamic understanding, to help make sense of emotions, thoughts and the ways experiences may be held in the body.
I aim to offer a calm, non-judgemental presence where you can feel respected and supported. Therapy can be a place to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with yourself, especially if you are feeling overwhelmed or uncertain about your direction.
Before training as a counsellor, I worked in business, which gave me insight into the pressures of work, responsibility and life changes. Having lived in different countries, I understand how questions of belonging, identity and transition can affect emotional wellbeing. I also have experience supporting clients online and value working with people from different cultural backgrounds. I offer sessions in English and Russian

Alesia Sokolova

Alesia Sokolova

Hi, I’m Alesia. I’m a trainee counsellor with a completed MSc in Psychology (GMBPsS) and currently training towards a Diploma in Integrative Counselling. I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, including Person-Centred Therapy, to shape therapy around you and your individual needs. Our work together is collaborative and led at your pace. Together, we can explore your strengths and consider how these may be developed to help you navigate current difficulties. At the heart of my work is the belief that meaningful change happens within a therapeutic relationship where you feel safe, heard, and understood. I offer a warm, empathetic, and non-judgemental space. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, life transitions, immigration-related challenges, separation, or those struggling with overwhelming feelings such as confusion or burnout. Alongside my therapeutic training, my background in professional environments has given me insight into workplace pressures, responsibility, and the ways these can affect mental wellbeing. I am a student member of the BACP and work in accordance with their Ethical Framework. I offer counselling sessions in English and Russian.
