Taking the step to reach out for support can feel daunting. Whether you are feeling stuck, working through anxiety or shame, or simply looking for a safe environment to understand yourself better, you don’t have to navigate it alone.
I offer a compassionate, confidential, and non-judgmental space where you can slow down and process your experiences at your own pace. As an integrative and relationally focused counsellor, I view therapy as a collaborative, reflective process, led by you. Rooted in trauma-informed and anti-oppressive values, I focus on building a trusting relationship, suited to your needs and respectful of your unique lived experience, where you can feel accepted, build resilience, and reconnect with your authentic self.
We can explore whatever feels most relevant to you, whether that means making sense of past patterns, navigating current challenges, or simply finding room to breathe.
My operational background gives me a profound understanding of workplace burnout, boundary challenges, and the coping mechanisms we build to survive. Additionally, my extensive experience as a crisis helpline volunteer, supporting individuals through relationship issues, life transitions, complex trauma, and contact with the criminal justice system, has deepened my ability to offer a calm, attuned, and reassuring presence in moments of deep distress.
I am a registered student counsellor with the BACP, working towards a diploma in Integrative Counselling and I offer sessions in both English and French.
I am looking forward to meeting you and seeing if working together feels like the right fit for you.

Hi! It looks like something has drawn you to my profile. I invite you to read on and trust your gut to decide if I’m a good fit for you.
I believe that a solid therapeutic relationship is the ground for the change you are looking for. With me, you will have a space to connect with your emotions, thoughts, and experiences, and to try out new ways of being. No judgment, no pressure to “get well fast”, no labels. Just another human being, grounded, curious and ready to accompany you for a leg of your journey.
A bit more about my background now. I am a trainee counsellor currently studying a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and a Diploma in Therapeutic Safety in Trauma. As an integrative therapist, I bring together different approaches and interventions to best serve you, always holding our relationship at the core. As a former teacher, I see the power of working creatively, because sometimes we just don’t have the words. I may also invite you to notice and connect to your body, as it works so hard to keep you safe.
Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, or challenges caused by life events, I would like to support you. I also have an interest in infertility, perinatal mental health, menopause, and neurodiversity. I offer sessions in English and in French, my mother tongue.
Finally, as a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, I have pledged to work to the highest ethical standards, to ensure your wellbeing, your autonomy and, most of all, your safety.
Tim Cornell

Hello, I’m Tim, a trainee counsellor and member of the BACP, currently studying a BACP-accredited diploma in Integrative Counselling. I have chosen this path towards my own personal development having spent many years working as a coach, advisor, and organisational leader. This has given me extensive experience of supporting people through periods of challenge, uncertainty, and change. I will create a confidential and welcoming space where you genuinely feel seen, heard, understood and respected. Here we can step back and reflect together on whatever is challenging you and what you might need to move forward on your own terms. I see my role as one of facilitation rather than direction: providing an ethical and non-judgemental relationship which allows mutual trust and confidence to develop and meaningful exploration and clarity to gently unfold. My training emphasises integrative practice, drawing on humanistic, psychodynamic, existential, and body-based approaches. I will draw on these to help you explore your challenges and choices in ways that feel helpful, always respecting your circumstances and preferences. My personal style is to be a calm and steady presence who welcomes whatever you bring to therapy and will be ready to explore it with you from a place of empathy and unwavering support.

You don’t need to be in crisis to come to therapy. You might not have the right words or a clear label for what you’re feeling and that’s okay. Therapy can be a space to pause, reflect, and begin making sense of things, especially if something inside you is saying, “This isn’t working anymore.”
You might be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, burnt out, or stuck in old patterns. Perhaps you’re navigating a transition, facing challenges in relationships, or struggling with self-worth. Whatever you’re carrying, I offer a supportive space where we can explore it together.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and holistic. I pay attention to your thoughts, emotions, body, nervous system, and how we relate in the room. I draw on both humanistic and psychodynamic perspectives, informed by neuroscience and mind-body practices. I’m also a certified yoga teacher and health coach, I can help you reconnect with yourself not just intellectually, but emotionally and physically.
With over 20 years in the corporate world, I understand the toll of constant pressure and responsibility. This experience informs how I support clients who look fine on the outside but are struggling within. Having lived and worked across countries, I also understand the complexities of identity, belonging, and cultural transitions.
I am a trainee currently completing my Msc in Integrative Psychotherapy in Metanoia. I aim to bring grounded, calm presence to our sessions. If you’re looking for someone who will meet you with curiosity, care, and respect, I may be a good fit for you. I work in English, French, and Spanish.
