Oliver Hawley

Oliver Hawley

I am Oliver, a trainee counsellor with 10 year’s experience in the mental health sector, spanning community, residential, crisis, homelessness, and the youth justice services. I deeply believe mental health challenges are normal responses to painful experiences and recognise that people of colour, queer and trans people, women, and disabled people, amongst others, are more likely to experience mental health problems as a result of oppression.

My approach is pluralistic, which means we will draw upon a range of theories to find what is helpful for you. It is always rooted in the Person-centred philosophy that my job is not to fix you, but to build a relationship where you feel genuinely valued, seen, and understood.

Examples of theories, tools, and techniques we may use include:
⁃ Trauma-informed: Helping you understand when you go into fight/flight response and how you can soothe your nervous system.
⁃ Person-Centred: Helping you to know, trust, and accept all the different parts/versions of you.
⁃ Transactional Analysis: Exploring how you show up in relationships and the patterns that occur.
⁃ Gestalt: Focusing on the here-and-now: how you feel, what’s going on in your body, and what you need to say.
⁃ Creative approaches: I am a music teacher of 13 years who finds music massively beneficial to my own wellbeing. If you’d like to explore creative ways to process your experiences, understand yourself, and communicate what has gone on for you, please let me know.

I am a registered student counsellor with NCPS (NCS24-03935) and working towards a Level 5 Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling (Pluralistic). If you are interested in the code of ethics which I abide by, please see: https://ncps.com/about-us/code-of-ethics

I look forward to meeting you.

I’m an integrative counsellor in the final year of my Diploma in Integrative Counselling. I’m registered with the BACP and have over 80 hours of clinical experience as a Level 3 trainee counsellor with NHS Talking Therapies.
I believe therapy is a collaborative process. I offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, understood and supported to explore what’s happening for you. My integrative training draws on Person-Centred, Gestalt and Psychodynamic approaches, allowing me to adapt my way of working to your individual needs and experiences.
Alongside my counselling training, I have a Master’s degree in Psychology, where my research explored the mind-body connection. I also teach yoga and I’m interested in how our emotional, psychological and physical experiences can influence one another, while recognising that everyone’s experience is unique.
Before becoming a counsellor, I worked internationally as a qualitative researcher, exploring people’s experiences, behaviours and motivations. This has developed my curiosity about what shapes us and an ability to listen deeply to different perspectives.
I see my role as supporting you to develop greater self-understanding, build on your own strengths and feel empowered to find a way forward that feels right for you.

Ian Skinner

Hi, My name is Ian. Are you wondering what it would feel like to have a weekly space where the focus is entirely on you? I believe that many people could benefit from having a space that is non-judgemental, safe and empathetic, where they are able to share and explore life’s challenges. I provide such a space for my clients, where you will be able to talk without being judged, so that I can support you in exploring and identifying ways forward that are more in line with your needs.
I appreciate that taking the first step to seek support from a counsellor can seem daunting. I felt the same way. However, my own counselling journey has been life changing. Counsellors have supported me in overcoming challenges in a stressful work environment, dealing with a divorce and helping me to reconnect with myself and with others after my divorce. I look forward to supporting you in your journey.
I am a trainee integrative counsellor, which means that I use tools from different counselling approaches to support my clients. I work with Gestalt, which focuses on how you are in the present moment, and transactional analysis that explores the ways in which we relate to others and the personal narratives that shape these relationships.
I am a student member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work in line with their Ethical Framework.

Francesca Lupu

Francesca Lupu

Hi, I am Francesca, and I am a trainee psychotherapist working towards becoming accredited. Starting therapy can feel both scary and exciting, as I remember feeling the same way. For me, therapy became a safe space to explore and understand myself, and I aim to offer that same space for my clients. Our journey together can shift and focus on whatever matters most to you, but above all, therapy is a place to allow yourself to feel.

I am currently in my second year of a MSc in Therapeutic Counselling, and I am a BACP registered member. My approach is integrative humanistic, combining person-centred and psychodynamic methods, among others. This allows me to explore both present experiences and past influences to understand feelings and behaviour patterns. I aim for sessions to feel authentic, real conversations between two people.

For me the relationship between client and therapist is the centre of the work, crucial for us to build trust. I understand how feeling vulnerable can become frightening, so I value the notion of being equals in this professional relationship. My experience in mental health over the past years allowed me to work with a variety of clients, addressing topics such as addiction, family dynamics, anxiety, loneliness, trauma, relational trauma and stress.

As an immigrant, I’ve come to understand how challenging major life transitions can be. This perspective deeply influences my work and allows me to connect with those experiencing change or feeling out of place. I offer sessions in English and Romanian, and I embrace the uniqueness of every person’s journey.

Sara Ingarfield

sara_gharbifard

Hello, my name is Sara. I’m a counsellor who believes that therapy should be as unique as the person sitting in front of me. That’s why I take an integrative approach, combining both person-centred and psychodynamic methods to support you in the way that feels most meaningful.

In our sessions, I create a warm, non-judgmental space where you can truly be yourself. With a person-centred approach, the focus is entirely on you—your feelings, experiences, and goals. Together, we’ll explore what’s happening in your life, empowering you to find clarity and confidence at your own pace.

At the same time, the psychodynamic side of my work invites us to gently uncover how past experiences or patterns might be shaping your present. By understanding these deeper influences, we can create lasting change and help you move forward in a way that feels authentic and freeing.

Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply in need of a space to process, I’m here to walk alongside you. If this sounds like the kind of support you’re looking for, I’d love to connect and help you take that next step.

Ester Caddy

ester_caddy

Hi, I’m Ester and I’m in my last year of my MSc in Therapeutic Counselling, training to become an integrative psychotherapist. This means that I draw from different therapeutic approaches, including psychodynamic, humanistic/person-centred and CBT. I will work with you in a collaborative, warm and approachable way, aiming to find an approach that works best for you and your individual situation in the most flexible and open-minded way. Together we can explore your present difficulties, past experiences, recurring patterns, thoughts, feelings and behaviours, or anything else that you would like to understand, have support with or change. I’m curious about all parts of you, even the ones that might be hard to share. Whatever you bring will be received with non-judgemental interest and a genuine, empathic wish to understand your individual, subjective experience and inner world.
I find it important to approach our work together seriously and ethically, but there can also be room for laughter. Sometimes approaching something lightly, playfully or creatively can help us reach deeper, unconscious material and experiences that are difficult to put into words.
I have experience working with people of different ages, backgrounds and personalities on challenges including anxiety, depression and low mood, anger, grief and loss, low self-esteem, body-image difficulties, experiences of trauma or abuse, relationship difficulties, loneliness and identity or existential struggles.
I am a student member of the BACP and work within its Ethical Framework. I’m originally from the Netherlands and a native Dutch speaker; sessions are available in both English and Dutch.

Melodie Guilhem

Taking the step to reach out for support can feel daunting. Whether you are feeling stuck, working through anxiety or shame, or simply looking for a safe environment to understand yourself better, you don’t have to navigate it alone.

I offer a compassionate, confidential, and non-judgmental space where you can slow down and process your experiences at your own pace. As an integrative and relationally focused counsellor, I view therapy as a collaborative, reflective process, led by you. Rooted in trauma-informed and anti-oppressive values, I focus on building a trusting relationship, suited to your needs and respectful of your unique lived experience, where you can feel accepted, build resilience, and reconnect with your authentic self.
We can explore whatever feels most relevant to you, whether that means making sense of past patterns, navigating current challenges, or simply finding room to breathe.

My operational background gives me a profound understanding of workplace burnout, boundary challenges, and the coping mechanisms we build to survive. Additionally, my extensive experience as a crisis helpline volunteer, supporting individuals through relationship issues, life transitions, complex trauma, and contact with the criminal justice system, has deepened my ability to offer a calm, attuned, and reassuring presence in moments of deep distress.

I am a registered student counsellor with the BACP, working towards a diploma in Integrative Counselling and I offer sessions in both English and French.

I am looking forward to meeting you and seeing if working together feels like the right fit for you.

Kare Khoo

Kare Khoo

Do you ever feel like you know yourself well? Perhaps you can name what’s going on, even explain it, and yet certain patterns keep repeating anyway? Therapy can be a space to explore where these patterns first took root, and how they continue to shape your life now.

My name is Kare (pronounced “Care”, she/her), and it’s not lost on me how well that fits the space I hope to offer. I’m a psychodynamic counsellor in training, completing my Masters in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy at Goldsmiths, University of London, having first trained in the person-centred approach. I’m a registered student member of the BACP.

Therapy doesn’t provide shortcuts. What I can offer is curiosity and consistent support in thinking alongside you. Each step we take together is to help you find the narrative that feels true to you, rather than one you’ve inherited. How far we go, and how fast, is always your choice.

I’m especially committed to supporting those who often feel marginalised or overlooked, whether that’s rooted in race, culture, gender, identity, neurodivergence, class, or past trauma.

My approach is warm, while also making space to challenge. At the heart of how I work is a commitment to meet you with compassion, acceptance, and sincerity. I believe the quality of the relationship is key to successful therapy. If you’d like to see whether we might work well together, I’d love to hear from you. I offer sessions in English and Thai.

Alongside her psychotherapy training, Sabine brings many years of professional experience supporting sensitive conversations with people from a wide range of backgrounds and nationalities.
